WWE & Cody Rhodes Announces Return Of Iconic PPV

Cody Rhodes discusses his new WWE deal.

Cody Rhodes has appeared in a commercial to promote the return of a classic pay-per-view.

Sat in a car alongside producer Metro Boomin, The American Nightmare is seen staking out the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Following multiple clips of various stars, it is announced that Bad Blood will be making a comeback on October 5th at the Atlanta venue.

The date and the name are interesting as back in 1997 at the Badd Blood pay-per-view, which also took place on October 5th, the very first Hell in a Cell match took place between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. Along with the debut of the structure, this also saw the long-awaited arrival of Kane at the event. While not confirmed, it has been heavily speculated that a Hell in a Cell match will take place at the event to mark the anniversary, which will be the first time the structure has been used since WrestleMania 39 when Edge defeated Finn Balor.

With Bash in Berlin taking place at the end of August and Bad Blood taking place at the start of October, it is presumed that WWE will not present a PLE in September.

Cody Rhodes Features In Unexpected Advert

With his blond hair and signature American attire, many have compared Rhodes to Homelander from popular Amazon TV series The Boys. In a new advert to promote the latest season, Cody Rhodes went full Homelander and referenced the lead character.
