The latest WWE project looks to have been leaked ahead of an official announcement, which will see the pro wrestling promotion be a part of an annual fixture at Universal Studios.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE is set to announce that it will be one of the franchises featured at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights later in the year. It is also added that the project has been in the works for quite some time, dating back to the previous year.
Taking place at the theme park’s Orlando and Los Angeles locations in the United States, the attraction runs from September to early November each year. The parks transform at night with themed haunted houses, scare zones and live entertainment to accompany the rides that will be open until late. Known to collaborate with popular horror series and movies, past attractions have been inspired by the likes of Stranger Things, The Last of Us and Halloween. The 2025 event already has Fallout, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Jason announced as attractions.
While there are no details at the time of writing regarding what the WWE attraction could entail, the company has a history of characters taking inspiration from horror movies, including The Undertaker and more recently the Wyatt Sicks.
WWE To Make Its Debut At Universal Studios
The upcoming announcement is the company’s latest integration strategy following previous collaborations with sports and entertainment franchises. Along with producing legacy championships with top sports teams around the world, WWE is also set to premiere the Netflix exclusive show WWE: Unreal later this month, which will give fans a never-before-seen look at how the show in produced.
