Fans now know which WrestleMania 42 matches will take place on which nights as the day split has been officially announced.
As announced on ESPN’s Get Up on April 7, SmackDown announcer Joe Tessitore revealed the line-up for each night of the biggest show of the year. Unsurprisingly, the 2 top men’s matches are set to headline each night, with Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship given the main event for night one, and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship announced as the match to close out the weekend.
It was also announced that Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu, The Vision vs. The Usos and LA Knight, Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi and the Intercontinental Championship ladder match will all take place on ESPN first hour, meaning that these will be the opening matches of each respective night.
John Cena is also set to appear live across the weekend as the WrestleMania 42 host.
It should be noted that the day split was indicated previously, as match graphics had 2 distinctive themes.
