WWE has sadly announced the latest injury in a growing list of stars to be sidelined.
On social media, WWE announced that the former Tag Team Champion had been injured following an attack by Gallus on the May 14th episode of NXT. The Viking Raider is out indefinitely:
BREAKING: As a result of the heinous attack by #Gallus at the end of #WWENXT, @Ivar_WWE has suffered an injury and will be out of action indefinitely.
Ivar was set to be a part of the WWE Speed tournament that has been airing on X. As a result of the injury, Apollo Crews will replace the Raw star and will face Tyler Bate. Ivar had been embarking on a solo run in recent months as his tag team partner Erik is still recovering from neck surgery.
WWE Injuries Continue
Multiple changes have been made at the last minute due to injuries sustained in recent weeks. Former World Champions Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley were both pulled from the King of the Ring tournament due to injury and join the likes of Seth Rollins and CM Punk as also being sidelined for the foreseeable future. Injuries have also affected the Queen of the Ring tournament with Zelina Vega and Asuka sidelined with injuries.
