Willow Nightingale Confirms AEW Status

Willow Nightingale has addressed a previous report concerning her AEW contract ahead of Double or Nothing.

It was previously reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that the former TBS Champion had agreed to a new deal to remain All Elite for the foreseeable future. In a new interview with Jon Alba of The Takedown on SINightingale confirmed that she has re-signed with the company:

“That is true, yes. I am happy where I am. I think there is so much left ahead for me to do at AEW, things that I want to accomplish. But also, I’m just really excited to be a part of something when it’s fresh and new and, like, you know, I think we’re past the years of finding our footing.”

“But to have been a part of that and continue to water and watch it grow is just a privilege as well as a joy, you know? So I’m excited to continue, to take part in that.”

One of the most popular acts in the AEW women’s division, Nightingale has been recently involved in the main event storyline involving World Champion Jon Moxley and The Deathriders. With Marina Shafir regularly interfering in Moxley’s matches, Nightingale has neutralised the threat.

Nightingale has been a part of AEW since 2022, and has also made appearances for New Japan, becoming the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.

Willow Nightingale To Compete In Anarchy In The Arena?

On the May 14th episode of Dynamite, Nightingale was involved in a mass brawl that took place at the end of the show and saw Swerve Strickland chase off the heels. Referencing the 2 groups, Strickland issued the challenge for an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing. While not confirmed at the time of writing, it has been speculated that Nightingale and Shafir will be a part of the match.
