An update has been provided on music megastar Bad Bunny as WrestleMania 42 approaches fast.
As reported by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE had been in contact with the musician prior to his halftime performance at the 2026 Super Bowl to gauge a potential appearance and or match at this year’s Mania. It is noted that while things are unclear on Bunny’s status at the time of writing, the conversations were positive. Unsurprisingly, one source within the company added that they would “absolutely” welcome Bad Bunny at WrestleMania, regardless of whether he competed in a match or just made an appearance.
Bad Bunny Made His In-Ring Debut At WrestleMania
Following multiple appearances on TV during the pandemic era, Bunny stepped into the ring as a wrestler for the first time at WrestleMania 37, which was the first show with fans allowed back in attendance. At the biggest show of the year, Bunny teamed with Damian Priest to pick up the win over The Miz and John Morrison. Bunny went viral for the end of the match after he hit a destroyer onto Morrison.
Two years later, Bunny made his return to wrestling as he faced Priest in a street fight at Backlash: Puerto Rico. Along with an all-time entrance, the rapper put on the match of the night against the former World Champion, which also featured run-ins from the likes of The Judgment Day, Carlito and Savio Vega.
