Why CM Punk Believes Danhausen Is "Perfect" For WWE

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has given his thoughts on Danhausen in WWE and jokingly stated why they remain on good terms.

Danhausen has been terrorising the WWE roster since his arrival at Elimination Chamber. With the likes of Dominik Mysterio, Kit Wilson and The Miz all falling victim to the curses, all 3 have seen things take a turn for the worse with matches and championships lost, along with The Miz and Maryse’s wedding renewal ending in disaster at the hands of the very nice, very evil wrestler.

Appearing on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike ahead of his main event match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, Punk joked that while he and Danhausen are not great friends, he does keep paying the fellow WWE star to remain curse-free:

“I wouldn’t say I’m great friends with him. The relationship is more; I keep giving him money, and he doesn’t curse me. A lot of people need to take a lesson from that. He’s cursing people left and right, and all you have to do is give the guy some cash.”

CM Punk Explains Why Danhausen Is A Perfect Fit For WWE

While WWE fans may have only seen Danhausen for the first time following his debut at Elimination Chamber and the weeks that followed, others are much more familiar with the unique character. From his time on the independents and in AEW, Danhausen has built up a cult following of fans that made him a very popular star in the wrestling world. Explaining the appeal of Danhauen, Punk stated that he is someone who is very entertaining and can be placed into just about every segment:

“He’s perfect for WWE. He’s perfect for what we do. Sometimes, you find a talent that has always kind of belonged here, and you never really realised it. He’s somebody who, to me, is a throwback. He’s a bit of a gimmick, but he’s so entertaining. You can put him in any single situation, and it’s more about how other people react or don’t react to him. Hopefully, I said enough nice things about him that he’s not gonna curse me.”

While Danhausen does not have a match scheduled for WrestleMania, he has teased an interaction with the host of the event, John Cena. Prior to the show, WrestleMania plans fr Danhausen have been revealed.
