John Cena is set for another extended break from WWE due to Hollywood commitments.
Making his return to the ring at the Royal Rumble, Cena officially kicked off his year-long farewell tour as an entrant in the match. Making it to the final 2, Cena was eliminated by eventual winner Jey Uso in a result that shocked the crowd as they thought this would be Cena’s night.
Unable to secure a major match at WrestleMania, Cena stated in the post-show press conference that he would be an entrant in the Elimination Chamber match at the Premium Live Event of the same name on March 1st. As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this will be the next time that fans will see Cena on WWE TV as he is in Budapest filing the Apple original movie Matchbox, which is based on the popular toy car franchise and he is not scheduled for any TV appearances in February.
John Cena Competes In Final Royal Rumble
On top of his entry in the Royal Rumble match, Cena has also now competed in at least one televised match every year from his main roster debut in 2002 right through to his final year in 2025. Having competed in 9 Royal Rumbles over the course of his career, John Cena has seen mixed results in the legendary match.
