Although news broke that Sheamus will be leaving WWE when his contract expires, he will be sticking around in the company for a few more months as he won’t be a free agent soon.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the former World Champion’s deal is set to expire on October 1. While the specifics are unknown, Fightful adds that the timeline would match up with Sheamus having a 90-day termination deal after refusing the restructured deal.
When news first broke that Sheamus was leaving WWE, many assumed that the Irish star could be AEW-bound given his name value and history with stars in the promotion. Along with having Edge [Adam Copeland’s] last match in WWE, Sheamus also won the Tag Team Championships with Cesaro [Claudio Castagnoli] 5 times. Following the latest update, Sheamus will not be able to appear at All In Wembley if AEW is in his future plans.

The news broke in early July that Sheamus would be exiting the company when his contract expires. Reportedly, the reason for the exit is that The Celtic Warrior was offered a new deal, but turned down the proposal.
Along with his work in the ring, Sheamus has built a successful YouTube channel, Celtic Warrior Workouts, which now has more than 1 million subscribers.
