Trish Stratus has further teased an eventual match in WWE with SmackDown star Tiffany Stratton.
Back in July, Stratton became the latest WWE star to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, guaranteeing a future opportunity at the Women’s Championship of her choosing. Looking to celebrate the victory, the former NXT Women’s Champion ran into Stratus backstage after the match and disrespected the Hall of Famer.
With Stratton stating that she was open to the match at the post-show press conference and with Stratus also teasing the math in previous interviews, the Hall of Famer has continued to tease a match between the legend and the rising star.
Appearing at Comic-Con in Northern Ireland, Stratus was asked who she would like to face on the main roster. After first joking that it would be Becky Lynch, Stratus once again referenced Stratton as a potential future opponent:
“Becky Lynch. Oh wait, we did that already. From the current landscape, you’re saying? What time is it? Is it Tiffy Time? I mean, she’s a little bit arrogant, and I think it’d be interesting to show her what it’s all about from someone back in the day. Maybe Tiffany Stratton.”
When Did Trish Stratus Last Wrestle?
The former Women’s Champion last competed inside the squared circle at Payback 2023. Losing to Becky Lynch in a steel cage match, many praised the work of both Stratus and Lynch in the match with fans calling it the best women’s cage match in WWE history.
