WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has been announced as the next guest to join Chris Van Vliet live onstage, with the special event taking place in her hometown of Toronto.
Van Vliet and Stratus will team up for Insight Presents: First Crush Live – Stratus Loading on August 21 at Toronto’s Second City Theatre, taking place on the same night that WWE SmackDown heads to Scotiabank Arena. The seven-time Women’s Champion will sit down with fellow Canadian Chris Van Vliet for a long-form interview and will also take questions from the fans in attendance as part of her First Crush shows. Although Stratus has previously spoken with Van Vliet at press junkets and movie premieres, this will mark her first full-length interview with the Insight host.
Speaking about the show via press release, Stratus explained why the experience is designed to be much more than a traditional fan meet-and-greet:
“First Crush has been about giving my Stratuspherians an immersive experience and more than just a meet and greet or an autograph signing,” said Trish Stratus. “After what we did in Vegas and being able to give my fans something different and truly special is what makes partnering with Chris for this live experience a perfect fit! I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store!”
Alongside the live interview, fans attending will also get an exclusive first look at the new Trish Stratus x Chalk Line jacket. Fresh off its reveal on Instagram, the event will mark the first opportunity for fans to see the jacket up close and purchase it ahead of its wider release.
Speaking exclusively to Features of Wrestling, Van Vliet said Stratus has been one of his dream Insight guests for years:
“Trish Stratus is one of, if not the, greatest women’s wrestlers of all time. So many fans have wanted Trish on the show, and I am so excited to finally make it happen! This is going to be a great night in Toronto!”
Stratus last competed in a WWE ring at Evolution 2025, where she unsuccessfully challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship. The appearance was part of the Hall of Famer’s tour to celebrate 25 years since her debut.
Fans unable to attend in person will still be able to watch the conversation, as it will be recorded for a future episode of the Insight podcast.
Trish Stratus Joins Growing List Of Chris Van Vliet Live Guests
Major names from WWE, AEW and TNA have previously joined Van Vliet on stage as part of the Insight Live experience. Recent guests have included Joe Hendry, Mustafa Ali and Ethan Page. Earlier this year at Fanatics Fest in New York, The Undertaker joined Van Vliet to discuss some of the highlights from his own legendary career.
With Stratus making her first full-length appearance on Insight, the Toronto event is expected to be one of the most anticipated editions of Van Vliet’s interviews to date.
