Triple H has promised that fans will still be shocked when the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble takes place.
The popular Premium Live Event is set to air live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time ever on January 31, also marking the first time that the event has been held outside of North America. With this in mind, some fans are sceptical about shock appearances being spoiled ahead of time, as they will likely be spotted at airports travelling to or arriving in the Kingdom. However, according to the Chief Content Officer, there will still be some unexpected names set to be at the show.
Speaking on ESPN’s The Get Up to promote the upcoming show, the Hall of Famer gave fans a taste of what to expect this Saturday:
“Well, the Royal Rumble is one of those events that’s amazing to see because every couple of minutes, there is a new entrant that enters into the fray. So as this match goes on over the course of the hour that it takes or so, you’re getting constantly surprised by who is next, and the strategy of what happens when that person comes out. So this year’s gonna be no different. There’s a lot of surprises in store. But also, it’s one of the most star-studded Rumbles that I can recall. You’ve got Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul’s gonna be in there. On the women’s side, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan… They’re just stacked cards. This one is gonna be epic.”
It should also be noted that a previous report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select noted that WWE are still confident that they can keep the big surprises under wraps, mainly due to the fact that they have a chartered plane that will be flying to Saudi Arabia. It is also noted that there is much more privacy at airports and hotels.

With the Royal Rumble set to air on the ESPN app for the first time and being one of the most popular shows on the pro wrestling calendar, the company has had some of its biggest stars conduct media interviews to ensure there is as much buzz around the show as possible. Other interviews have seen the likes of Liv Morgan and The Miz name their favourite Royal Rumble moments.
