Tony Khan has commented further on the state of AEW’s ongoing media rights negotiations.

With just a few months left in 2024, fans are still awaiting to hear something concrete in regards to the media rights for AEW and what the future holds for the brand in regards to which network will broadcast the 3 shows for the next period.

While updates have been mostly vague, Tony Khan recently appeared in front of the crowd when the cameras stopped rolling and effectively declared that AEW would be remaining a part of the WBD family for the foreseeable future. With no further details provided and an official announcement yet to come, Khan was asked about his comments at the All Out post-show media scrum.

Khan once again praised the relationship between AEW and WBD and that conversations have been ongoing:

“We’re still in very very close and exciting negotiations with Warner Brothers Discovery. It’s been going on throughout the summer that we’ve been having these conversations. It’s a very detailed package that we’re having discussions about,”

Continuing, Khan also stated that he had not officially signed the contract but once again teased exciting things to come:

“I said, “I think it’s safe to say, I believe AEW is here to stay on TNT and TBS.’ I think that’s true for a very long time and I believe it. I have not put pen to paper. I’m still working on things. It’s an exciting time, without getting too specific, but while giving everybody that anticipation of things to come. There are really exciting things to come for AEW,”

Ending his comments, Khan once again used an American football analogy as to what the future holds, stating that he was confident that it would be touchdown AEW very soon.

“I’m 100% confident the ball is going in the end zone.”
