Toni Storm Addresses Long-Term Wrestling Future

AEW star Toni Storm has elaborated on what fans can expect from her in the later years of her wrestling career.

The Women’s Champion has become one of the standout stars in the entire company thanks to her character work playing a throwback movie star frequently uttering innuendos in promos and on commentary. With 4 reigns with the gold, Storm also holds the record for the most times with the title out of anyone in the company.

Very much a bigger star compared to when she left WWE in 2022, the Timeless one would not be short on work if she chose to exit AEW or pursue other ventures in the wrestling space. However, according to the Women’s Champion, she has no plans on sticking around after hanging up the boots.

“When I’m Done Wrestling, You’ll Never See Me Again”: Toni Storm

Appearing on The Sandman podcastStorm stated that when she is finished with wrestling then fans will never see her again, adding that it is also her intention to retire in AEW, whenever that day comes:

“When I’m done wrestling, you’ll never see me again. You’ll never see me in any other capacity, or in any other company, for that matter. Exclusive. I will vanish with that. and there’s no, like, encore. This is it. I’m not doing anything else. Like, where would I go? What would I do? Because I’m on a long deal for AEW, like I’m signed my life to AEW. I’m on a five-year deal, and I can’t remember how long. But I’m a lifer for AEW. There’s no like, ‘oh, well, we’ll see what happens.’ That does happen a lot in wrestling, though, yes. Random crazy sh*t happens. But as of now, AEW for life.”

When asked about the possibility of returning to WWE like many of her former AEW peers have, Storm responded that while there is no ill will to her former employer, it’s not the best fit for her at this stage of her career:

“That’s no offense to them. I think they’re great, and I understand them for exactly what they are. They’re a machine. They’re a business. And I just don’t fit in with their whole shtick, and that’s cool. It’s like, I love it. I love a lot of the people that work there and it’s like, yes, get that money. Get that power. But, I mean, realistically, in my life, like, that’s it. I’m not going to like, how old can I do this? How long can I do this? I don’t know.

Storm is scheduled to defend her Women’s Championship in a 4-way match at All Out on September 20.
