The Rock Made Nearly $1 Million In TKO Royaties In 2025

The Rock earned a six-figure sum in royalties in 2025 by being a part of the TKO Board of Directors.

A new SEC filing notes that Dwayne Johnson earned $900,000 in royalties as part of the agreement. The filing also adds that Johnson was unable to attend several of the TKO board meetings due to “prior business commitments.” Along with his role on the TKO Board of Directors, Rock is involved in several businesses, such as apparel and his Teremana tequila brand, and has been filming and promoting his film projects. Along with his lead role as Mark Kerr in the biopic The Smashing Machine, the Hollywood star will reprise his role as Maui in the live-action Moana remake, which is set to hit cinemas later in the year.

Johnson made 3 WWE TV appearances in 2025. The first was at the Raw on Netflix premiere, which saw The Final Boss seemingly squash his beef with Cody Rhodes following their storyline animosity the previous year. The next night, Rock made an appearance on NXT to hype up the developmental brand. The final appearance saw Rock appear live at the end of Elimination Chamber after he asked Cody Rhodes to sell his soul to The Final Boss. After Rhodes told Rock no, John Cena turned heel and attacked The American Nightmare. While it appeared that Rock might factor into WrestleMania 41 plans, the former World Champion did not make an appearance. Instead, Travis Scott provided interference in the match between Rhodes and Cena, much to the annoyance of fans.

No Appearances From TKO Board Member The Rock Look Set For Foreseeable Future

Even though ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 were reportedly a struggle, The Rock did not make any surprise appearances to help drive ticket sales for the event. While there was speculation that The People’s Champion could have been Randy Orton’s mystery ally given Rock’s history with Cody Rhodes, the mystery adviser was revealed to be Pat McAfee.
