The National Wrestling League has now begun announcing players and managers for each of the 6 squads heading into the inaugural season.
Following the initial announcement of the league and the format, former WWE star D’Lo Brown was the first confirmed signing. The former Intercontinental Champion will serve as the player-manager for the Yorkshire Titans, with Rampage Brown being the first wrestler signed to the squad. Shortly afterwards, the Manchester Manics confirmed that Nathan Fisher would be their player-manager, with Sam Gradwell being the first confirmed wrestler.
With 6 matchweeks confirmed, the dates and locations are as follows:
- Matchweek 1: August 9 – Newcastle
- Matchweek 2: September 27 – Manchester
- Matchweek 3: October 10 – Glasgow
- Matchweek 4: 2027 TBC – Midlands
- Matchweek 5: 2027 TBC – Yorkshire
- Final week: 2027 TBC – London
