Toni Storm has been away from AEW since March 2026, but there have been hints regarding the former Women’s Champion’s status.
At AEW WrestleDream, mysterious tapes were found by members of the media, which have since been posted to social media. While some believe this to be an indication that Storm could be on her way back to TV, a follow-up report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select says otherwise.
The report notes that Storm’s in-ring return “Isn’t imminent”, but she could be involved in other elements. There was also an image posted following Storm being “attacked” to write her off TV, which contained multiple clues regarding the potential suspect. According to the report, there was a specific name in mind to be revealed as the attacker, but this was kept open in case the culprit needed to be changed.
Storm was last seen defeating Marina Shafir at AEW Revolution 2026 before being abruptly written off TV. There have been no updates regarding the reason for her time away from the ring.
