The Latest On AEW Plans For Bobby Lashley

New details have been provided regarding Bobby Lashley not making an appearance at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view.

Bobby Lashley is still expected to become All Elite soon.

Despite what many fans had anticipated, Lashley did not appear live at AEW WrestleDream over the weekend, with many predicting that the former WWE Champion would make his debut during Swerve Strickland’s segment. However, with no signs of Lashley at the show, some fans have questioned the reason for this.

In a new report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful SelectLashley has signed a contract with AEW and his debut is still an inevitability at this point. The reason for the debut not taking place was that the debut would have involved Lashley beating down Strickland and it was decided that 2 hometown beatdowns would not have the desired effect given what happened to Bryan Danielson to close out the show.

It is also added that as many expect Lashley will be a part of MVP and Shelton Benjamin’s new faction and he was also not backstage at WrestleDream.

Lashley last competed on May 5th at a WWE house show.
