Swerve Strickland Says AEW “Is About To Get On Fox”

Swerve Strickland has dropped a major update regarding AEW media rights.

Swerve Strickland has seemingly detailed a massive update on the state of AEW’s ongoing media rights negotiations.

The AEW media rights continue to be a talking point in the wrestling world as the current deal runs out in 2024 and talks are reportedly still ongoing. While Tony Khan has remained confident that the shows will remain a part of the weekly TBS and TNT line-up, fans are still wanting to hear something more concrete.

Although a recent report from The Puck noted that a major deal was in place and could contain another show being shopped around, there have been no further updates. However, in a recent appearance by Strickland, good news may be announced soon.

As seen on the Queenzflip YouTube channel, Strickland met with the influencer and discussed AEW and what the company has been doing in 2024, including being the first black World Champion to main event at Wembley Stadium. Later in the conversation, Strickland stated that as WWE SmackDown has left Fox, AEW will be filling in a spot along with their existing relationship with TBS and TNT:

“It’s a movie. We’re about to move. We’re about to get on Fox. SmackDown is leaving Fox. We’re taking Fox. TNT, TBS, and Fox. We got all three of them things. Tony Khan lets me do whatever the f*ck I want. He owns the Jacksonville Jaguars.”

At the time of writing, nothing official has been announced regarding either the WBD extension or AEW programming being shown on Fox.

Swerve Strickland Remains On Hiatus

The former World Champion last competed at All Out in the main event and was brutally attacked by Adam Page in their unsanctioned steel cage match. While on hiatus, Prince Nana attempted to provide an update but was interrupted by a debuting MVP.
