Stephanie Vaquer Says WWE Entrance Music Was Nearly Changed

WWE star Stephanie Vaquer has stated that she nearly lost her NXT entrance music after being called up to the main roster earlier in the year.

While there was a time in a previous era when NXT call-ups were completely repackaged with a new look, new music and losing almost all of their aura from the developmental brand, new management has been much more mindful on keeping the presentation mostly the same. However, there have still been tweaks made to those who have come up from NXT to make them more relatable to the main roster audience.

After finding success in the developmental brand, former NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Champion Vaquer was officially called up to Raw at the end of May after shockingly losing the Women’s Title to Jacy Jayne, who still remains champion at the time of writing. Becoming one of the standout stars on the red brand, La Primera recently admitted that she nearly lost her “Bury Me” theme, which is composed by Chris Egert.

Stephanie Vaquer Fought To Keep Original Entrance Music

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Vaquer stated that there was a conversation about changing her theme, but she asked Shawn Michaels if she could keep the song used in NXT:

“I remember when I went to Raw, they said, change my music. And I said, please. I talked with Shawn Michaels and said, Shawn, please, I love my music. I don’t want to change. And he was like, Okay, let me see what we can do. And, yeah, I think people love the music too.”

Vaquer is next scheduled to be in action against IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza, where the winner will be crowned the new Women’s World Champion.
