Sheamus’ WWE absence has been explained.
The Celtic Warrior has not been seen on WWE TV since the August 18th episode of SmackDown where he faced off against Edge in what is rumoured to be the Hall of Famer’s last-ever WWE match.
As reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it has been revealed that Sheamus has been absent from programming due to dealing with a shoulder injury:
“Seamus [has a] really bad shoulder injury by the way. That’s why he hasn’t been on TV or at house shows.”
Despite the former WWE Champion being out with injury, Butch and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes have still been featured regularly in tag team matches.
Fans will hope to see Sheamus make a return to action soon, as the veteran is still on his quest to become grand slam champion by capturing the Intercontinental Championship.
Features of Wrestling would like to wish Sheamus a full and speedy recovery.
