Saraya Issues Message To Fans Following Unwanted Interaction

Former AEW Women's Champion Saraya has spoken out regarding a possible return to WWE and if he would keep her name if it were to happen.

Saraya has had to remind fans to respect the boundaries following an unpleasant interaction that was highly inappropriate.

Unfortunately, there have been many instances over the years of fans engaging in unacceptable behaviour with wrestlers, mostly the female performers. On top of unsuitable messages being sent to the wrestlers online, many have also been victims of unwanted attention at public appearances. Unfortunately for the former WWE and AEW star, this recently happened to her, resulting in a PSA that should not need to serve as a reminder.

Taking to social media, Saraya stated that one fan at a signing tried to kiss her, which was not consented to:

“Crazy I have to say this but. If you come to my signings.. please don’t try to kiss me anywhere. Especially ON MY MOUTH. He wasn’t able to because I moved. But Jesus f*cking Christ.”

This is not the first time that the former Paige has dealt with harassment, as fans have regularly sent explicit content and others have turned up at her own home uninvited.

Saraya Continues Promotion Of Autobiography

The former Women’s Champion released her first memoir Hell in Boots: Clawing May Way Through Nine Lives earlier in the year, which tells the much more honest account of her life in and out of the ring compared to the family-friendly biopic Fighting With My Family that saw Florence Pugh play the role of the British wrestler. With the book now available to buy in the UK, Features of Wrestling recently reviewed Saraya’s autobiography.
