Roman Reigns has given fans an update on his WWE schedule moving forward now that he is a champion once more.
During Reigns’ time as the Undisputed Champion, The OTC would predominantly work a part-time schedule, meaning that the top champion would rarely be featured on TV. However, ever since WrestleMania 40, the top champions for both brands have been much more present, regularly defending the titles on TV and Premium Live Events.
In the main event of WrestleMania 42 night 2, Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career, and is once again the top champion on Raw. With this in mind, there is a concern as to how often the champion will be present on Raw, and how often the title will be at stake.
Roman Reigns Says “Part-Time Crap” Is Over When Discussing Schedule
While speaking on the WrestleMania 42 post-show, Reigns promised that he would be in attendance on the Raw after WrestleMania on April 20, adding that he would be around all summer:
“I’m gonna take y’all to Monday Night Raw tomorrow night. I’ll see y’all tomorrow night. That’s where we’ll see y’all. All this part-time crap, we’re gonna fix that. Y’all better make some room, because y’all gonna see my ass all summer.”
Prior to Reigns’ post-show appearance, Oba Femi called out the new champion following The Ruler’s victory over Brock Lesnar. Responding to Femi’s callout, Reigns said that he would wait and see how Femi progresses before answering:
“Oba, you gonna kill me? See, you still seem a little fresh in this business. You did a big thing tonight, but I’ve done that many times, and I’ve done it with a title on the line. I did it, I took it, I defended it, let’s see how you do through the summer. Let’s see how you do, and then we’ll know if you can step up to the greatest of all time.”
