Ridge Holland has provided another health update for the fans as he has recently undergone neck surgery.
Taking to social media on November 25, the former WWE star informed the fans that the surgery that took place in Manhattan was a success, adding that he had undergone a multiple disc replacement:
Surgery went well. C5 to C7 artificial disc replacement. Thank you to the amazing care at @hspecialsurgery Manhatttan. And thanking for all the messages of support. I’ll get back to you all over the next few days.
In a follow-up post from his hospital bed, Holland also added more information on the surgery:
After experiencing pain and lack of mobility due to pain in my neck, I consulted with doctors and had tests taken that determined that I had two collapsed discs in my neck resulting in nerve impingment. Yesterday I underwent disc replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan with Dr Sheeraz Qureshi. The surgery was deemed to be very successful. 🙏🏻🙌🏻💪🏻 And I got a room with a view!
Ridge Holland Recovering From Surgery
The former WWE star was outspoken about his health and how it was handled shortly before his release from the company. After suffering a foot injury while competing at a TNA taping in a match against Moose, Holland called out WWE for choosing to not renew his contract when it expired. The British wrestler also added at that point that he was due to undergo neck surgery soon, meaning that he would be unable to take bookings for over a year.
Due to the severity of the injury, it remains unknown when or if Holland will be back inside a wrestling ring.
A GoFundMe was set up to cover Holland’s expenses, but not by the wrestler. After being informed of the page, Holland issued a statement saying that he would no longer be accepting donations. Big na,es frm the wrestling industry including Chelsea Green and Raj Dhesi [Jinder Mahal] contributed to the cause before it was closed down.
