Randy Orton Breaks WWE Pay-Per-View Record

Randy Orton has set a new record following the Survivor Series 2021 pay-per-view. Orton now holds the prestigious accolade of having competed in the most pay-per-view matches in WWE history.

The Raw Tag Team Champion’s match in which both he and partner Riddle faced The Usos was the 177th match for The Viper. The match at Survivor Series now overtakes the previous holder of the record Kane. The Big Red Machine has acknowledged this milestone on social media:

Randy Orton’s pay-per-view debut was at SummerSlam 2003. The match where The Viper made his debut on pay-per-view was the second ever Elimination Chamber match. Orton competed alongside, Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match was won by Triple H, who retained his title in the main event.
