The NXT WarGames pay-per-view took place on Sunday December 5th. This was the first WWE Network special since the NXT 2.0 rebrand. Also, despite being a pay-per-view, the event was not branded as a TakeOver event. WarGames took place inside the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.
The following matches have been confirmed to take place at WarGames:
- Cora Jade, Io Shirai, Raquel González, and Kay Lee Ray defeated Dakota Kai and Toxic Attraction [Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne] via pinfall in a Women’s WarGames match.
- Imperium (c) defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.
- Cameron Grimes defeated Duke Hudson in a Hair vs. Hair match.
- Roderick Strong (c) defeated Joe Gacy via pinfall to retain the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
- Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller defeated Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight via pinfall in the Men’s WarGames match.
