R-Truth Reveals Length Of New WWE Contract

WWE star R-Truth has confirmed the length of the new contract he signed earlier in the year, following on from his shock release.

After Truth announced on social media that his contract would ot be renewed when it expired, the former United States Champion saw a groundswell of support unlike anything fans had seen in recent times. While many releases have been shocking, only Truth has seen live fans at shows and millions more online continually demand that he be reinstated.

Fast forward to Money in the Bank and Truth made his return by interfering in the main event. Truth attacked his “childhood hero” John Cena, allowing Cody Rhodes to capitalise and win the match to further their feud.

The shock release and return of Ron “The Truth Killings is set to be one of the topics covered in WWE Unreal, which will see the second season drop on January 20. Ahead of the premiere, Truth provided more information about his current contract.

R-Truth Signs 4 Year Contract With WWE

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Truth stated that he had signed a 4-year deal, which also has a 3-year option. The former Tag Team Champion also spoke about the moment he cut his hair during a live taping of WWE Raw:

Definitely. Watching Cena’s end game gave me ideas about mine. I want to articulate mine creatively. Again, one of the greatest of all-time to ever do this. I learned a lot from him in the ring and out of it, one hill at a time. A lot of things I’ve said I learned from Cena. I learned from his retirement that I want mine to go. We’re all on a ride. The ride stops at some point. And it was great seeing him have some control and go, “I want to get off right now.” That’s what I want to do. I signed a four-year deal with a three-year option.

The cutting of my hair was symbolizing a new beginning of the beginning. A lot of people thought they knew why I cut my hair. They didn’t know why I cut my hair. Nobody knew, but me. I talked to Hunter. I wanted to cut it way before then. I asked Hunter, “Can I do it now? Can I do it now?” I had the right moment. I had the right eye. I had the world compelled. The world was watching me. Tupac, “All Eyez on Me.” It was the right time to set the pace for a new beginning. By ending one, there is going to be a new one.

In a previous interview, Truth spoke about the day he found out about his release.
