NXT No Mercy aired live from Bakersfield, California on Saturday, September 30th. Six matches took place at the Premium Live Event.
Baron Corbin defeated Bron Breakker – Corbin channelled his inner Undertaker by riding to the ring on a chopper motorcycle. Breakker dove out of the ring onto Corbin before that match started. The brawl went into the crowd. Ringside security demanded the match be started but Breakker took out the security. Breakker was placed on the announce table as Corbin tried to hit a senton but missed. The match finally got underway with Breakker taking control. Commentary briefly cut out due to then senton. Corbin briefly turned the momentum before Breakker took control again. Corbin demanded Breakker bring more of a fight before making a comeback. Breakker looked to attempt a spear but Corbin countered it into a deep six for a near fall. Corbin was knocked to the outside and Breakker tried to capitalise but was driven through the announce table. Breakker sat up and speared Corbin on the outside. Robert Stone tried to interfere. Corbin hit the End of Days to win the match – ***½
Trick Williams defeated Dominik Mysterio – Special referee Dragon Lee made his entrance first. Mysterio received his usual amount of heavy boos from the crowd. Mysterio hit a quick drop kick and was annoyed at the speed of the count. Mysterio tried to make an exit with the title but Williams intercepted. Mysterio took control back in the ring and slowed the pace. A double down took place followed by Mysterio hitting a reverse 619 and tried to hit a super kick but Williams ducked so Dragon Lee took the hit. A new official made his way to the ring. Mysterio took out the second referee and both Superstars went to the outside. Back in the ring, Williams hit a knee to the face of Mysterio while Mysterio was holding the title to win the match and the title – ***
Tony D’Angelo and Stacks defeated OTM, Angel Garza and Humberto Carillo and The Creed Brothers – The match started quickly with all 8 competitors getting involved. D’Angelo lifted both Garza and Carillo but his knee gave way, forcing medical to be required. The rest of the competitors tried their best to improvise but were understandably rocked by the unplanned events that took place. Everyone made their way into the ring with bodies flying left and right. Stacks valiantly tried to fight alone as D’Angelo limped his way to the ring. 4 simultaneous Superplexes took place much to the delight of the crowd. Tony D’Angelo pinned Price to win the match – ***½
Noam Dar defeated Butch – Round 1 saw a feeling out process take place, ending with a cheap shot from Dar right at the end. Round 2 saw more physicality from Butch and Oro Mensah hit a cheap shot as the referee was distracted. Dar took advantage by winning the first fall. Round 3 as Butch hit The Bitter End to tie up the score to one point each. Round 4 saw each competitor start to feel the effects, with Butch locking in a choke but Dar held on to the end of the round. Round 5 saw Dar hit a brain buster onto Butch onto the apron, but Butch just survived. Butch looked to break Dar’s finger just after the round 5 bell. The final round saw more interference from Mensah but again Butch kicked out. Butch hit another Bitter End but Dar survived. Gallus beat up Tyler Bate on the outside with Joe Coffey attacking Butch while the referee was distracted. Dar pinned Butch to win the match – **
Ilja Dragunov defeated Carmelo Hayes – Dragunov brought the physicality right from the outset, stunning the champion. Hayes came back with strikes of his own. More chops from Dragunov followed with Hayes having no answer. In the corner, Hayes blocked a chop and made a comeback. Hayes hit a great springboard bulldog for a near fall. Dragunov hit multiple German suplexes with Hayes countering with a tiltawhirl face plant. Dragunov hit a running knee and a powerbomb but was too tired to capitalise. A bloody Dragunov hit a top rope suplex but still couldn’t get the win. Dragunov hit 2 H Bombs and Hayes kicked out again, much to the frustration of Dragunov. The match ended when Dragunov hit a top rope H Bomb – ****
Becky Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton – Lynch brought weapons out in a shopping cart to start the Extreme Rules match. Lynch attempted to hit a head but with a fireman’s hat but the helmet fell off. The brawl went into the crowd where Stratton used brass knuckles and Lynch used a chain necklace, busting open Stratton. Back at ringside, Stratton used steel steps to take control. Stratton grabbed a toolbox and pulled out a wrench and a crowbar. Both competitors tried to use a hammer but it bounced out of the ring. Stratton was thrown into the car and driven into the steps. Lynch brought in a black that contained broken Barbie dolls, which Lynch proceeded to pelt Stratton with. Stratton pulled out multiple chairs but was driven into them by Lynch. Lynch pulled out a table to the delight of the crowd. Lynch went missing and was found under the ring using a fire extinguisher and came out with a barbed wire bat. Stratton came back with a backflip elbow through the barricade. Lynch was placed on the aforementioned table, and Stratton climbed to the top and hit a Swanton Bomb, but sadly the table did not break. Stratton hit a second Swanton but Lynch kicked out. Lynch hit a Manhandle Slam onto a pile of chairs to win the match – ****½
