AEW presents WrestleDream for the first time on October 1st, 2023. Tony Khan has organised the show to mark one year of the passing of Antoni Inoki.
The match that fans are likely looking forward to the most is the match between the two best technicians in wrestling today, Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. The match should have originally taken place at Forbidden Door 2022, but Danielson could not make it due to injury.
14 matches have been announced for the event, with championships from AEW, New Japan and Ring of Honor all up for grabs.
Adam Cole won’t be able to make the show due to a broken ankle. Cole was scheduled to team with MJF to defend the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships, but instead MJF will go it alone.
The Don Callis family has grown stronger, aiming to take out 2 former AEW World Champions. To rid wrestling of Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and Kota Ibushi once and for all, Callis has recruited Will Ospreay to team with Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara.
