Drew McIntyre is set to remain off WWE TV until further notice as he remains involved in non-wrestling projects until further notice.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there have been no discussions regarding the 4-time World Champion being brought back into the fold for ongoing storylines. McIntyre has been away as he has been filming for various acting projects. One project involving wrestling will see him featured in WWE’s series of live-action microdramas with ReelShort, which will also star Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry.
As well as being cast in the Highlander reboot alongside Henry Cavill, McIntyre also landed a role in The Last Druid, which will see the Scottish wrestler star alongside Russell Crowe. McIntyre recently posted a picture of him and Crowe on social media.

McIntyre has been absent since he lost to Jacob Fatu in an unsanctioned match at WrestleMania 42. At the start of the year, McIntyre shocked fans when he defeated Cody Rhodes in a 3 stages of Hell match to win his fourth World Title. With the first two reigns happening in the pandemic and the third lasting just five minutes, this is the first time that McIntyre was able to celebrate winning the top prize in front of fans.
