New TNA Knockouts Champion Crowned At WWE NXT Goldrush [SPOILER]

A major title change took place at WWE NXT Goldrush as a new TNA Knockouts Champion was crowned.

During the week 2 taping of the double header, which is set to air on November 25, Lei Ying Lee [formerly known as Xia Li in WWE] was victorious in a triple threat match to capture the Knockouts title for the first time in her career. Lee pinned now former champion Kelani Jordan to capture the gold in a match that also featured Jordynne Grace, who has held the title multiple times throughout her TNA career, but not while signed to WWE.

Jordan won the title back at Victory Road, defeating Lee to capture the vacant gold and also becoming the second WWE wrestler to hold the TNA Knockouts Championship after Jacy Jayne.

The victory marks Lee’s first professional wrestling championship reign. While Lee challenged for multiple championships during her time in WWE, she was never able to win any title matches.

Lee was a part of WWE from 2017 to 2024. Debuting in the Mae Young Classic, Lee was WWE’s first Chinese signing after impressing the company at a try-out in Shanghai. Lee made her main roster debut as a surprise entrant in 2019 Royal Rumble match. Lee’s final match saw her lose to Natalya on a Main Event taping back in April 2024, with Lee announcing on social media that she had left the company shortly afterwards. Lee signed with TNA in September of that year.
