WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch is set to receive new music soon after more than a decade of using her old theme.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Lynch is expected to receive the new song “imminently” after previously teasing the collaboration with music group The Wonder Years on her Instagram story. The report adds that the band recorded the theme months ago, and the process in underway to bring it to TV.
Lynch has been one of the few WWE stars to avoid being given the Def Rebel treatment by having a popular entrance song replaced by a more generic theme. Over the past couple of years, fans have been vocal about top stars being “Def Rebeled” and have called for the wrestlers to receive better themes. Lynch’s current song, Celtic Invasion, was composed by CFO$.
Fightful also adds that the phrase “The Man Has Come Around” is heard in the intro cut of the song.
At the time of writing, it is unknown when the change of theme will be made.
Becky Lynch Set For Double Stipulation Match At WWE SummerSlam
On August 3, Lynch will put her Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line at SummerSlam against the woman she defeated to win the gold, Lyra Valkyria. Along with the match being no disqualification, the additional stipulation will see Valkyria unable to challenge for the title again as long as Lynch is champion if she loses. Lynch defeated Valkyria to win the championship at Money in the Bank back in June.
