3 members of the WWE roster have been informed that they will be leaving the company imminently.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox are all set to depart WWE in the near future. Fans first speculated that Corbin’s time in the company had come to an end as he had posted on social media “That’s all she wrote folks. It’s been real and I appreciate everyone who supported me.” Corbin was used prominently on Raw and SmackDown since his call-up in 2016. A former United States Champion and Money in the Bank holder, Corbin was also a previous onscreen authority figure and was regularly used as the first opponent for new arrivals on the main roster.
Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox And Indi Hartwell All Released By WWE
Corbin has been told that his contract would not be extended when it expires while Hartwell and Nox have already been released. Although it was a taped show, Hartwell was in action on the November 1st episode of SmackDown, which was pre-taped ahead of time. Hartwell teamed with Candice LeRae in a losing effort to Bayley and Naomi. Hartwell is a former NXT Women’s Champion and was used prominently on the brand but less so when she was called up to the main roster.
Nox last competed on TV on the April 1st episode of Raw. Since then, Nox has regularly wrestled on house shows and SmackDown dark matches. Both Hartwell and Nox will become free agents in 90 days.
Both Hartwell and Nox have reacted to the news on social media. Nox, now going by her name of Nixon Newell, stated the following:
Some things are just out of your control and you can only do as much as you can. Let’s clear one thing up though. I’m ready. Ive been ready. Just have to show people what they’ve missed.
Hartwell said the following:
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened
