More names have been confirmed for the upcoming Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 14 event in New York.
As announced on social media, Jonathan Gresham, Nick Comoroto, Simon Gotch, and Matt Mako will all be taking part in the unique pro wrestling and MMA hybrid event on Saturday, August 2nd.
Gresham competed in the last Bloodsport event over WrestleMania weekend, losing to current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. via technical knockout. Comoroto is currently signed to AEW and last competed on Dynamite in late April. This will be his first appearance at Bloodsport. Gotch was previously a part of WWE and has competed on the independents since his release in 2017. Gotch competed at Bloodsport 8 and lost to John Hennigan. Matt Mako has competed at Bloodsport 6 times, most recently at the November 2024 event. Mako lost to Davit Modzmanashvili.
The latest round of names joins TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, Dominic Garrini and Janai Kai as the confirmed entrants for the next show. It should also be noted that the event is taking place over SummerSlam weekend, not too far from MetLife Field.
