Michael Oku Wins British Heavyweight Championship At RevPro Live In London

Michael Oku is now a 3-time holder of the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.

Competing in the main event of the Live in London 108 show on June 7, Oku defeated Jay Joshua to once again hold the top prize in the UK promotion. The closing moments of the match saw Oku lock in his signature half crab, but Joshua nearly made it to the ropes. Oku dragged Joshua back to the centre of the ring and applied a modified half crab with extra leverage, but Joshua fought out. Oku then hit a running knee and a driver to pick up the win.

The victory brings Joshua’s reign to an end at 175 days. Joshua won the title back at the 13th anniversary show in August, defeating Sha Samuels to win the gold. Oku is now just one reign away from tying the RevPro record, which was set by Zack Sabre Jr.

Michael Oku Set For Huge RevPro Heavyweight Title Defence

Assuming that Oku remains champion by August, he will put the title on the line at the 14th anniversary show over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Oku’s opponent will be Connor Mills, who earned the opportunity by winning the Revolution Rumble back in May. Mills has never held the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship before.

The show also saw AEW star Eddie Kingston in action, making his return to RevPro. The full results from the Live in London show are as follows:

  • Aliss Ink defeated Alexxis Falcon
  • JJ Gale defeated Thomas Shire
  • Flying Bryant Brothers (Leland Bryant & Zander Bryant) defeated CSI (Luca de Leone & Nordino)
  • Emersyn Jayne and Rhio defeated Dani Luna and Kanji

  • Kieron Lacey & Mark Trew defeated CPF (Danny Black & Joe Lando)
  • Eddie Kingston defeated 1 Called Manders

Replays of the event will be available on RevPro’s on-demand service.
