Mercedes Mone Loses TBS Championship On AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Mone has seen her record-breaking reign as TBS Champion come to an end.

In the main event of the December 31 episode of AEW Dynamite, Mone lost her title to the woman she first won the gold from, Willow Nightingale. The closing moments of the match saw Nightingale counter a series of pin attempts to hit the powerbomb onto The CEO, pinning Mone to win the match and the title.

As a result of the victory, Nightingale has made AEW history twice. Along with being the first woman to hold the TBS Championship more than once, Nightingale is also a double champion, becoming the first to hold the TBS Championship and Women’s Tag Team Championships simultaneously. Nightingale holds the tag titles with Harley Cameron.

The defeat ends Mone’s reign at 584 days, the longest in the history of the title. The defeat is also the latest high-profile loss for the CEO. Along with failing to capture the Women’s Championship twice in 2025, Mone also recently lost the RevPro Women’s Championship to Alex Windsor. Mone captured multiple championships throughout 2025, and at one point held 13 titles, but has gradually been losing her championships in the past few months.

When Did Mercedes Mone Win The TBS Championship?

Mone first won the TBS Championship back at Double or Nothing 2024. This was also Mone’s first match in AEW after signing with the promotion in March of that year. Mone made 23 successful defences during her year-plus title reign.
