Three years after she was spotted in the crowd at Wembley Stadium, Mercedes Mone can officially say she is the AEW Women’s Champion.
Mone defeated Willow Nightingale at AEW All In to win the Women’s Championship for the first time in her career. The closing moments of the match saw Mone lock in the Statement Maker to force Nightingale to pass out.
Mone was busted open early into the match, but fought on despite having a suspected broken nose. The match also featured a ref bump and Nightingale striking Mone with the title, but despite her best efforts, she couldn’t dethrone the CEO. Mone took off the cast to target Nightingale’s injured hand, enabling her to pick up the Wembley win.
The Women’s title was the championship that had alluded The CEO for over a year. Mone went on a belt collector run throughout 2025 that saw her win titles all over the world. However, when it came time to challenge for the top prize in AEW, she was unable to knock off then Women’s Champion Toni Storm. Mone previously held the TBS Championship for a record 584 days, but was defeated by Nightingale at the end of 2025.
Mercedes Mone Crowned AEW Women’s Champion Inside Wembley Stadium
After taking a hiatus from AEW at the start of the year, Mone made her return to wrestling as a wildcard entry in the 2026 Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The former TBS Champion went on to win the cup, becoming the first wrestler to win the tournament back-to-back. Earning her opportunity against Nightingale, Mone attacked the now-former champion at every opportunity.
It was also reported that Nightingale suffered a hand injury prior to the match, which was confirmed by Tony Khan on the All In media call.
