WWE may be set to host a significant event in London in 2027.
As reported by WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, there has been locker room speculation that the final Raw before WrestleMania 43 could take place at the O2 Arena in London. WrestleMania 43 is set to take place in Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the event has been held outside of North America. If the go-home Raw does take place in London, this will also be the first time that the final show before Mania is also held outside of the continent.
WWE recently held a live episode of Raw inside the venue, followed by a pre-taped edition of SmackDown the following night. At the time of writing, there have been no announcements regarding a return to the UK for live events, TV tapings or Premium Live Events.
Analysis – WWE Could Win Big In London In 2027
With the UK always being a strong market for WWE, hosting an event with the magnitude of the final Raw before Mania could be a big hit. However, the company needs to be careful with how the show is priced, especially as the recent Raw and SmackDowns were not sell-out events. Additionally, go-home shows have lost their lustre over the past few weeks, with most not providing adequate hype for the show.
Obviously, this will all be dependent on the build to SaudiMania. If the company can capture the magic of 2024 and load up the show with star power, there is definitely potential to make the show one of the biggest of the year. Unfortunately, especially with international events, the company tends to rely on the international demand as opposed to making the overseas shows must see.
