What’s next for Kazuchika Okada has been revealed.
Despite becoming a free agent on February 1st, The Rainmaker has tied up some loose ends with the promotion and has continued to make appearances for NJPW. With 2 matches left to go, Okada’s future has been revealed.
As reported by Fightful Select, Okada is all but confirmed to be part of the AEW roster imminently. Fightful reports that “barring some unforeseen catastrophe” the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion will be All Elite soon. An agreement has been reached between both sides, but nothing is official as a contract is yet to be signed.
In regards to a debut date for The Rainmaker, AEW sources are under the belief that the first half of March could be a major talking point for the company. It should also be noted that Tony Khan has already announced a big show for Boston on March 13th, where many are expecting Mercedes Mone to debut. Although Mone is the big talking point, there is always the possibility that AEW repeats the angle from All Out 2021 which saw many top stars all debut in the same night.
