WWE star Lyra Valkyria has been asked about comments made by Becky Lynch during the latest season of WWE: Unreal, with Valkyria admitting she is struggling to believe it to be true.
The latest season of WWE: Unreal premiered on January 21 and once again gave fans an exclusive look at the world’s biggest pro wrestling company, along with what life is like for the stars outside of the ring. The opening episode sees couple Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins train for Lynch’s return at WrestleMania 41, with Lynch addressing her future in pro wrestling. The reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion admitted that she struggles to be away from her daughter Roux, adding that the current contract she has signed will likely be her last.
Aked about Lynch’s comments while speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Valkyria responded that she doesn’t believe it to be the case, noting that things are going too good for her right now in WWE:
“I’m just going to choose not to believe it. I just don’t think it will be. I think things are going a little bit too well for her right now and maybe she’s just saying that because she thinks she’s going to go off and be the president or something. But no, it’s not your final contract. She’s lying.”
Becky Lynch And Lyra Valkyria Heavily Featured On WWE: Unreal
The night after Lynch’s return at Mania, which saw her and Valkyria capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships, the duo lost the titles back to The Judgment Day. Following the loss, Lynch turned heel and attacked Valkyria, leading to them feuding over the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The story behind the matches at Backlash and SummerSlam were the main focus for multiple episodes in the docuseries.
Valkyria admitted in the show that while their Backlash match was great, potentially the match of the night, she was not happy with their SummerSlam encounter. The SummerSlam match did not go to plan, as the weapons used in the match did not work according to plan, and it was revealed in the show that they went over time. Valkyria looked dejected after the match, clearly not pleased with her performance.
