A tag team match has been added to the October 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will continue the build to Crown Jewel later in the month.
On the September 26 episode of the show, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was interrupted by Paul Heyman. After Rhodes asked who was really in charge of The Vision, Heyman or Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker made their way to ringside. Following a brief brawl, Randy Orton made the save for The American Nightmare.
On September 30, General Manager Nick Aldis announced on social media that Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes would team up to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
While this is the only match to be announced at the time of writing, the show will heavily focus on the build to Crown Jewel, which will air live from Perth, Australia on October 11. With this is mind, it is likely that a 5th match could be added to the card on the show. Additionally, after Tiffany Straton retained her Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax the previous week, it is likely that we will hear from Stratton ahead of her match at Crown Jewel against Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
