Grudge matches, a huge face-to-face confrontation, and more have been announced for the October 16 WWE SmackDown.
On the October 9 episode, Cody Rhodes interrupted the show and demanded that Randy Orton face him. Nick Aldis informed Rhodes that Orton was not there that night, and that he was trying to avoid the chaos. It was later announced that Orton would be appearing on next week’s show, where he will go face-to-face with The American Nightmare.
Although Nikki Bella and Paige were allies when the British star made her return, Bella has since turned her back on Paige. Following repeated wars of words backstage, both women will face off on next week’s show.
Another alliance recently ended when Damian Priest attacked R-Truth after they lost the Tag Team Championships. With Truth out for revenge, the former partners are set to go one-on-one on SmackDown.
This will also be the first episode of SmackDown following Money in the Bank. With new holders of the briefcases, the champions will be on notice ahead of a potential cash-in. It should be noted that the Women’s Money in the Bank contract has been cashed in during the first week more often than not.
