WWE has announced the first match for the May 29 WWE SmackDown, which will air live from Barcelona, Spain.
Once again looking to receive a hero’s welcome, Spain’s own Axiom will be in action on the show. The former NXT Tag Team Champion will be in action against The Miz. The match was put together following a backstage confrontation between the 2, which saw Fraxiom mock The Miz and Kit Wilson for their recent string of bad luck.
Additionally, it is likely that fans will see the progression of Danhausen’s experiment. Danhausen interrupted SmackDown multiple times on the May 22 show, and Nick Aldis has demanded answers.
This will also be the final show before Clash in Italy, which will take place in Turin on May 31. Currently, the announced line-up for the Premium Live Event is as follows:
- Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther – Singles match for the WWE Championship
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu – Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Championship
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill – Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
With this in mind, there is a strong chance that Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill could all appear live.
