New number one contenders will be crowned, a celebration and more is set for the March 6 episode of WWE SmackDown.
On the February 27 SmackDown, Nia Jax and Lash Legend won big as they defeated Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships, which was also Legend’s first title win since signing with WWE. Following their victory, the new champions announced that they would be holding a celebration the following week.
Also on the February 27 SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis met with Solo Sikoa and the MFTs. Aldis then informed the MFTs that they would be defending their Tag Team Championships soon, and new number one contenders would be crowned on next week’s show. Aldis did not elaborate on how the new contenders will be crowned, or which teams would be fighting for the opportunity.
At Elimination Chamber, Drew McIntyre interfered in the main event, allowing Randy Orton to win the Men’s Chamber match. As a result of what took place, McIntyre has been forced to defend the WWE Championship against Rhodes on the enxt episode of the show.
