A WrestleMania 42 contract signing and more has been announced for the March 13 edition of WWE SmackDown.
The March 6 episode of the blue brand ended with a major title change as Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Championship for the third time in his career. As Orton earned his right to challenge for the title at WrestleMania following his Elimination Chamber victory, Orton and Rhodes are set to meet face to face to sign the contract and make their WrestleMania match official.
Also on the March 6 SmackDown, singer Jelly Roll appeared via video to congratulate Orton on his Chamber win. It was later announced that Jelly Roll would be in attendance for next week’s SmackDown. Jelly Roll made his in-ring debut at SummerSlam last eyar when he and Randy Orton lost to Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul on night one.
Ahead of her WWE Women’s Championship defence against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania, Jade Cargill will be in action on the show against Michin. The match was originally set to take place back in 2025, but was delayed as Michin suffered an injury.
