Two title matches and more have been announced for the June 19 WWE SmackDown as the build to Night of Champions continues.
After a controversial loss at Clash in Italy, Gunther has been granted another opportunity at the WWE Championship. However, with Gunther not wanting a WWE official to call his rematch with Cody Rhodes, The Ring General instead picked Sami Zayn to be the guest referee. Prior to his decision, Rhodes and Zayn came to blows in the ring. The title match has been announced for the June 19 show.
The other title match will see Damian Priest and R-Truth put the Tag Team Championships on the line against 2 of the MFTs.
Both Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints have made their claim to be next in line for Trick Williams’ United States Championship. Both men will face off on the next episode of SmackDown. Whoever wins the match will go on to Night of Champions to fight for the title.
On the June 12 SmackDown, Charlotte Flair advanced to the Queen of the Ring semifinals. Flair will face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in the next round.

- Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther – Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship with Sami Zayn as the special guest referee
- R-Truth and Damian Priest vs. MFTs- Tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championships
- Charlotte Flair vs. Liv Morgan – Queen of the Ring Semifinals
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints – The winner of the match will face Trick Williams at Night of Champions for the US Title
