Cody Rhodes and Gunther will go face-to-face and more is set for the June 12 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Following a series of shows in Europe, WWE will briefly return to the United States before upcoming shows in the UK and then Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions. On the June 5 SmackDown in Italy, an irate Gunther protested his loss to Cody Rhodes at Clash in Italy. Rhodes interrupted and offered Gunther a rematch. Later in the show, Nick Aldis informed Rhodes that Gunther would face Rhodes again, but there were extra terms. Gunther will reveal those terms on the next episode of the show.
Also on the June 5 SmackDown, The Judgment Day had a good night regarding the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. Raquel Rodriguez made it to the semi-finals in the opening match, while Dominik Mysterio advanced in the main event. The remaining first round matches will take place on the next episode of SmackDown. Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys and Finn Balor will look to make it to the next round in King of the Ring, and Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill will look to make it to the Queen of the Ring semi-finals.
