A new champion will be crowned and more on the July 1 edition of AEW Dynamite.
On the June 24 Dynamite, Queen Aminata and Harley Cameron qualified for the Survival of the Fittest match, which is set to take place on July 1. There is now just one spot remaining, with the qualifying match being announced on Collision, which has been pre-taped ahead of time.
The Survival of the Fittest match will be contested under elimination rules. This means that when a competitor is pinned or submitted, they will be removed from the match. The last woman standing will be declared the winner and crowned the new TBS Champion.
This will also be the first episode of Dynamite following Forbidden Door, which will take place on June 28. Along with interpromotional matches taking place, a 12 man steel cage match has been announced. Team Mark Briscoe will face Team MJF inside the structure, which will see Briscoe granted a title match if his team wins. However, if MJF’s team win, the World Champion will still have to put the title on the line against Kevin Knight.
