The new World Champion will appear live and more on the December 31 New Year’s Smash episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW Worlds End had a newsworthy ending as MJF won the World Championship for a second time. Looking to celebrate his victory and to address what is next for him in 2026, MJF will appear live on the show.
Two title matches have also been announced for the New Year’s Smash special. First, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone will put her title on the line against the woman she first won the title from back in 2024, Willow Nightingale. At Worlds End, Nightingale pinned Mone, and has now been granted a title match. Additionally, Ricochet will put his National Championship on the line against Jack Perry, who recently competed in the Continental Classic.
The show will also focus on the fallout from World End, which saw Jon Moxley crowned the winner of the 2025 Continental Classic, and Kris Statlander retained her Women’s Championship over Jamie Hayter.
