Kazuchika Okada was unable to emerge as the winner of the AEW Continental Classic at Worlds End 2025, bringing his reign as Continental Champion to an end in the process.
In a somewhat surprising result, Jon Moxley was the overall victor of the tournament after defeating Okada in the final. Mox won the match after hitting the Deathrider DDT onto the now former champion. Moxley celebrated with the rest of The Deathriders after the match, cutting a babyface promo and saying that the victory was for everyone who participated in the tournament. As a result of the victory, Okada’s 647-day reign as Continental Champion has now come to an end.
Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita opened up the show, with The Rainmaker picking up the victory over The Alpha after hitting Takeshita with a screwdriver when the referee was distracted. Moxley vs. Kyle Fletcher was second on the card, with Mox picking up the win by putting Fletcher to sleep with a choke to advance to the final.
Jon Moxley Is Winner Of 2025 AEW Continental Classic
Moxley’s road to victory was far from easy. Suffering a series of losses in the group stages, including to fellow Deathrider Claudio Castagnoli, Mox was eventually able to finish runner-up in his group, with Takeshita winning his Blue League. Fletcher won the Gold League, with Okada finishing second.
Eddie Kingston won the inaugural tournament back in 2023, with Okada picking up the victory one year later.
